If you have anything you think we might deem 'weird' about your gear, gems, or spec, please justify it here. Nitro Boost, a lot of people find it odd, but I find that being able to get out of or get into places quickly very beneficial, also, 24 crit rating isn't awful.
5. Professions: Engineering, mining
6. How do you research your class to improve yourself and learn about what is on the horizon? (Looking for more than "I read EJ sometimes" here): Like every applicant out there I use EJ, and the spreadsheets they provide, I hang around their rogue forum like its my hooking corner, I look at loot tables for any raid I'm participating in and make a "wishlist" of optimal (and realistic) loot available to me, then plan gemming/enchanting accordingly. I've also played as every spec (as ashamed as I am of my subtlety days... I was young and needed the money?)
7. Progression, or loot? Are you the type of person to huff and puff about not getting something that would better benefit the raid, or can you initiate intelligent debate about loot and know whom it would benefit most beforehand?: I'd rather see a large increase in raid dps, than a small increase in my own. The whole reason I continue to raid as combat (begin scoffing) is the physical damage bonus for most of our melee DPS, I may drop about 5%, but the increase across the board makes it a more viable spec for the DPS situation in my current guild.
8. Post a recent WWS, or SSes of recent raids. (I'll probably lock your application if you can't supply one without good reason): http://www.worldoflogs.com/reports/gryvprkeowtkbqao/details/20/
9. Post a screenshot of your UI (Use Imageshack, Photobucket, Tinypic, whatever you prefer. Again, do not leave this blank. [Please note that we'll probably shit on you if you're clicking 50% of your abilities.]): I know I'm gonna get shit on for this, but I use default blizzard bars, I mean really, I use like 6 buttons to DPS
Miscellaneous Questions
1. What is your current guild? Past guilds?: God Complex (current), Silent But Deadly, Dirty Dozen, On Tich I was in Black Dawn and Reckless Abandon prior to that
2. Reasons for leaving said guild? (Points for providing a reference): Looking for a change of pace, talked with fellow players about coming back to Tich, looking to get back into the raiding game with player who have similar goals.
3. Why are you interested in Malicious? I researched a few guilds on the server, I like the raiding hours and the general attitude the guild seems to take toward raiding and progression.
4. Who do you know in guild? no one
5. What do you plan to bring with you personally? ("I come prepared with consumables, flasks, and repair money" is obvious. Tell us why you will make a great raider): I formally lead raids, before I gave up my raid leader spot during a merger, so I know the pains of uninformed and unprepared raiders, I research content and strats. Also “being dynamic” encounters are rarely the same and very seldom do the go perfectly, especially on new content, sometimes you've got to evasion tank an add so it doesn't kill a healer while the tank runs across the room to get it.
6. We (I) can be assholes. How do you stand up to criticism? Are you capable of giving intelligent criticism to your fellow raiders? Can you handle R-rated vent conversation without earmuffs? I'm always interested in talking about ways to better myself, and more than willing to help other players do the same. As far as the vent content, I'm typically the one who steers vent comment toward the R-rated and beyond category
7. How much do you play outside of raiding? Do you log right after, do you PvP, do you have any accomplishments that you'd like to share? I love PVP, especially random world PVP, I'm kind of a mount/pet whore (90/89) respectively
8. Are you the original owner of your account?: yes
9. Determination, skill, and respect are high factors in raiding. Will you bring these with you, especially the former of the three? Raiding can be tough, and pushing 2 while dodging fire can be taxing - but we pride ourselves on pushing progression when we can. Can we count on you? Are you on board with us for these times? Yes, I believe all three are necessary for progression and guild unity, as for pushing myself for progression, my 10-man group wiped 36 times over the course of 8 hours (not continuous) on yogg +1 before we downed it.
lol, most of my mods aren't visable until I'm in combat, my target is poisoned, I'm using cd's etc. And the squirrels in Dal just don't live long enough...
